Seth Rogen has announced via Twitter that AMC's Preacher will return for a third season next year.

We left Jesse and Cassidy in a fairly miserable way by the end of season 2, with Tulip dead and their friendship seemingly on the rocks. However, the good Reverend Custer has a plan to resurrect the love of his life - but that does involves returning to his grandmother's estate in Angelville, and his grandmother just so happens to be one of the most wicked, twisted old hags to ever walk the earth.

If you've read the source material you should have a pretty good idea what comes next, but this show has taken some major liberties thus far so we may all be in for a surprise.

I had a feeling the photo would be indoors. The same way the majority of Season 2 took place in Louis' house, hell (which conveniently is a grey bunker) and Starr's office.

The acting is great, the cast is excellent, but they clearly don't have a budget. I was expecting season 2 to be the road trip to New York. But no. Stay the whole season in New Orleans. And try to stretch the plot as much as possible. The Preacher comics were groundbreaking, and there certainly isn't a lack of stories to be adapted. I'll watch it simply because I have Amazon Prime. But I won't be in a rush unless they start taking this seriously.

@ToxMasculinity - yeah that annoyed me too. I enjoyed S2 for what it was, but what it was was barely based on the comics at all.

@ToxMasculinity - didn't the showrunners and cast promise season 2 was going to be a road trip? I was really excited for that.

@BlackBeltJones - I'm pretty sure they did. If not I assumed based on the ending of season 1 and the trailer for season 2.

@ToxMasculinity - first few episodes were decent, but it went downhill from there.

At least we have American Gods. That's proper.

I loved the first season and the first 4 episodes of season 2 were great, than it became one of the worst shows on television. Here's some of the things that made season 2 terrible for me.

- They completely assassinated tulips character and have her one of the worst storylines with the ptsd stuff with the saint of killers.

- Assface's are in hell with hitler was stupid and went nowhere.

- They didn't even reveal God this season.

@CurlyBill - later half of season 2 was a mess. First half was really good.

@BlackBeltJones - Yeah when they got to New Orleans the show really went down in quality fast.

@CurlyBill - it got a bit boring at times. Real tedious.

Season 2 was up and down but I enjoyed it. Hope S3 just focuses on the L'Angelle Clan and the trio dealing with them.
