New Poster And Image From The Mideason Premiere Of THE WALKING DEAD

There's less than a month to go until The Walking Dead returns to AMC, and the cable network has released a new poster and ominous still. Executive producer Robert Kirkman meanwhile weighs in on that cliffhanger and what might be next for Rick Grimes and company...

"Yeah, we actually don’t get back to that for seven episodes or so. It’s going to be quite a cliff-hanger," Robert Kirkman tells Entertainment Weekly when asked about the image below. Hang on, SEVEN EPISODES? Thankfully, he was just kidding. "Nah, I’m joking. We pick up right in that moment. Alexandria is overrun. Rick and the kids are all covered in guts trying to get through the crowd. Everyone is where we last saw them, and things get worse from there." On another note, it's interesting that the poster uses the "A Larger World" tagline, especially as fans of the comics will know that that was the title of Volume 16 and the arc which saw the Alexandrians learn about the other communities and a certain baseball bat wielding motherf***er...are you excited?

It's funny they showcase the zombies so much in the advertisement but they are not even the major threat for the characters. They are more of a background threat they are there and you have to watch out for them but the other human characters are the real threat. I get that since George Romero things with zombies are generally symbolism for society and our issues but it is still funny.

So I'll just take a guess and say that the Season Finale or the tagline for Season 7A is going to be "Something to Fear"

Hilltop then Negan. 7a will introduce Kingdom and 7b will probably squeeze in the war.
