THE WALKING DEAD: Negan's Victim Says Goodbye To Fans In An Emotional "Farewell To The Fallen" Video

Yes, we know Negan dispatched more than one character during The Walking Dead's season 7 premiere, but just in case there's anyone that hasn't managed to see the episode yet we're still operating on SPOILER ALERT mode.

AMC has released a couple of "Farewell to The Fallen" featurettes, in which both Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee) and Michael Cudlitz (Abraham Ford) thank their fans for all of their support over the years.

It's sad to see these guys go, but the vids also contain a couple of heart-warming and funny moments as some of the other cast members jump in at the end to say their goodbyes.

The Walking Dead returns next Sunday night with the season's second episode, "The Well."

Gimple and Kirkman did a disservice to both Glenn and Abe. They were too fixated on trying to make Negan look cool & funny and the director showing off the makeup job. Glenn and Abe became secondary props. When I was very young my so called father would come home from work. And he would terrorize and abuse my mother, grandmother, younger brother and myself. He was a sadist. And there is nothing cool or badass about a prick man who gets off beating and torturing people who can't fight back. That is what was happening to Glenn and Abe. But Kirkman and Gimple actually had Negan be brave with Rick in the camper. That's not something a man like that would ever do. They do not have courage. They do not have funny lines to deliver as they beat you. People do not look at them and idolize them as some are doing with Negan.

Kirkman and Gimple simply do not comprehend the subject they seek to explore. And so they create a cheesy version of what happens when a sadist pig has the opportunity to terrorize and torture people who cannot fight back.

I admit its creepy that people are idolising Negan... HOWEVER People DO idolise people like that, its messed up, but it happens and its incredibly common.

While the situation you mentioned is terrible, there are varying levels of how warped a person could become. There is a wide range of insanity and though you know of a single experience, the writers are not trying to replicate that particular experience. They are thinking 'what would make a good villain' and 'what could we say a zombie apocalypse has done to this person in terms of their sanity'

In regards to your comments on Negan's humour, sadistic people do have a sadistic level of humour. Though granted the cheesy humour doesn't necessarily fit - blame that on poor writing.

----

Please note that i agree that they are bad writers, however i just think that trying to blame them for not understanding how the mind of someone in the zombie apocalypse who has gone insane works by using a singular example of someone sadistic - is not something logical.
