We finally have some news for the fans of The Walking Dead game since its initial announcement in 2015. In a new stream, the game's developer Overkill has revealed more details about the upcoming FPS. The Walking Dead is set in Washington D.C.,  where you must to survive with three other players. Obviously, each of them has unique abilities and skill trees to personalize.

The trailer introduces former architect Aidan, who's facing a zombie apocalypse with a baseball bat in his hands, similar to the main cast of the small screen series. The Payday developer said that we should expect a variety of missions and raids, which sound fun, considering that the game takes place fairly soon after the undead uprising.

Take a look:

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.

Overkill's The Walking Dead releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC towards the end of 2018.

Some gameplay would be nice. Hate these type of game teasers.

Can we please get that prequel story they set up where it's about the soldier played by Sam Witwer who's in the tank in the pilot episode?

You know it's bad when this trailer makes me more interested in the game than any Justice League trailer made me interested for that movie.

Question: How difficult will a game like this be? The walkers only walk. They aren't fast, they aren't strong. They are actually pretty easy to kill. Based on that premise it doesn't make sense how the entire military is wiped out by the walkers in the TV show.

Man this looks great-

"four player co-op action FPS"

nevermind. I'll stick to the Telltale games.

@Fekkius - right because we’ve never had a good zombie game that fits that mold

Oh I LOVE L4D. But it seems kinda pointless to have a Walking Dead style L4D, especially since TWD's zombies are slow as hell. Plus, a co-op storymode doesn't sound fun at all.

@Fekkius - we’ll TWD zombies are actually multiple speeds. They just get slower as they age and rigormortus sets in but the fresher ones tend to run if you remember the first 2 seasons
