The late Sunday timeslot that
The Walking Dead has occupied since it first graced television screens nearly a decade ago has allowed the series to push the boundaries of cable television little by little over the years, but what went down in this past Sunday's episode was easily one of the craziest things we've seen yet. Needless to say, spoilers will follow.
With only two more episodes left in the season, the episode took a moment to reflect on a the time shortly after Rick went missing, when Michonne was still pregnant. The episode was very brutal, showing a pre-zombie apocalypse friend of Michonne's taking advantage of her kindness to steal Judith and integrate her into her merry band of psychotic children. While trying to retrieve the child, Michonne and Daryl find themselves captured and getting branded with matching "x" scars by some of the children of the pack.
The worst was yet to come, however. After being slashed and beaten, the pregnant Michonne must decide to kill the children if she hopes to save her daughter and protect the unborn R.J. As she slashes through the pack of young ones, the deaths mostly take place off screen, but this doesn't really make it any less disturbing to watch.
