Sounds a lot like the Gone series. An entire town and surrounding area snow globed off from the rest of the world by a mysterious opaque barrier. But in Gone everyone over the age of 15 disappears and the town is left with kids developing supernatural powers and animals mutating into deadlier beasts.

Anyway watching this show is just stupid.....it's LOST under a DOME instead of an Island.

I loved the book and the show seems to be a great mixture of that and some intriguing new stuff so far. Well worth checking out!

The book is amazing. The show is not bad, but some of the acting is.

It's certainly not "Lost"... After all, being based on a novel, it's not randomly making up shit as it goes along that it will never be able to explain.

That said, the explanation isn't all that great, and yes... the "Lord of the Flies" part applies in spades.

@Charlie2094 - The book's ending is its downfall, unfortunately but it's already been said that the ending they have in mind for this series will be different to that in the novel.

very different from the book so far as characters go. if it all ends like it did in the book i think it will be much more satisfying than that horrible Lost ending. So far its just OK for me.

Im pretty sure they are going to take a different path to an end than the book. Specially if it gets good ratings continually, they would want to drag it out a bit. The book wasn't so much about how it ended as much as it was about what takes place Under the Dome anyway.

The idea of a dome on a city was already done in The Simpsons movie...Thus proving the Simpsons have covered all story plots.

Meh, I may check it out since Defiance is on at 9pm and nothing else is on Monday nights.
