It Sounds Like THE ORIGINALS Star Claire Holt Won't Be SUPERGIRL
Just over a week ago, Claire Holt, who stars in The Originals, became the first actress to be named as a contender for the lead role in CBS' Supergirl television series, but she is out of the running.
Television shows based on comic books are extremely popular right now, so you can't blame CBS for wanting to get in on the action too with DC Comics' Supergirl. Currently, the show is testing actresses for the lead role and the first name that emerged was Claire Holt. She is best known for her performances in CW's The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. If she wasn't your top choice then I have some good news for you today: According to The Hollywood Reporter, it doesn't sound like Holt will get the role.
Holt, meanwhile, is among the actresses testing to star in CBS' Supergirl, which has a hefty series commitment attached. (Sources tell THR that Holt is not expected to get the part.) - THR
