It's Speedster Vs. Super-Gorilla In This Intense New Extended Trailer For THE FLASH: "Attack On Gorilla City"
Next week, The Flash kicks off its long-awaited two-part Gorilla Grodd event and the CW has just released an incredible extended trailer, which previews the upcoming festivities. Come take a look!
"Are you going to Planet of the Apes?"
Say what you will about the third season of The Flash, but there's no denying that former Harry Potter star Tom Felton has been a more-than-welcome addition to the cast, especially after his character Julian Dorn officially joined the S.T.A.R. Labs team as a full-time member. His presence on the cast has also led to a couple well-placed Easter Eggs, from the writers, that allude to his past as Draco Malfoy and next week, it looks like we'll be getting a slight callback to another one of his roles, this time his villainous turn in Rupert Wyatt's Rise of the Planet of the Apes when Barry tells him about Gorilla City and Earth-2.
The CW has released a second awesome extended trailer for next week's big episode, titled "Attack on Gorilla City," which will launch a two-part Gorilla Grodd-centric story for the series. The upcoming installment will feature our heroes making the trek to Earth-2 to rescue Harry from the clutches of Gorilla Grodd, only to discover that Grodd isn't who they need to be worried about.
Check out the new extended trailer below:
"Attack on Gorilla City" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)
BARRY AND TEAM TRAVEL TO GORILLA CITY AND FACE GRODD - When Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & David Kob (#313). Original airdate 2/21/2017.
Blinded by anger, Barry unwittingly plays into Zoom's game and uncovers the evil speedster's true goal: to destroy all the earths in the multiverse. In the face of his life, Barry ultimately gets the upper hand against Zoom and defeats his nemesis. But unable to celebrate victory, Barry makes a world-shaking decision and speeds back in time to the night his mother died to stop Reverse Flash from killing her, irrevocably changing his past and redetermining his future.
