ARROW, THE FLASH, And SUPERGIRL Episode Descriptions Tease Gorilla Grodd, Mr. Mxyzptlk, And More
The CW has released episode descriptions for their DC TV shows, and in them we learn more about the return of Gorilla Grodd, the debut of Mr. Mxyzptlk, and a whole host of other big reveals and returns...
The CW has released episode descriptions for their DC TV shows airing the week beginning February 20th, and it's clearly going to be a HUGE week for these characters. For starters, Mr. Mxyzptlk will invade National City as he declares his love for Supergirl in what sounds like a fun Valentine's Day episode. The character was first spotted in set photos, but we'll hopefully see something official soon.
Over in The Flash, Gorilla Grodd finally returns as the Scarlet Speedster races into action to rescue Earth-2's Harrison Wells. That sounds awesome, though it sounds like Barry will actually be working with Grodd! Meanwhile, Arrow will beat Gotham City Sirens to it by assembling a team of female villains made up of familiar faces from the show's past. Which of these excites you guys the most?
Supergirl - "Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk"
DC COMICS’ MR. MXYZPTLK HITS NATIONAL CITY – When Mr. Mxyzptlk (guest star Peter Gadiot), a magical imp, shows up on Earth and declares his love for Kara (Melissa Benoist), she tries to let him down easy, thinking him harmless. However, he decides it’s a challenge and starts to wreak havoc on National City. Mon-El (Chris Wood) has seen beings like Mr. Mxyzptlk on Daxam and knows how dangerous they can be. He and Kara argue over how to get rid of Mr. Mxyzptlk, further straining their relationship. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Sterling Gates.
The Flash - "Attack on Gorilla City"
BARRY AND TEAM TRAVEL TO GORILLA CITY AND FACE GRODD – When Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R Labs. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & David Kob.
Arrow - "The Sin-Eater"
CHINA WHITE, CUPID AND LIZA WARNER BREAK OUT OF PRISON — China White (guest star Kelly Hu), Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) and Liza Warner (guest star Rutina Wesley) break out of Iron Heights and head to Star City for revenge. Oliver (Stephen Amell) tries to bring in the newly formed girl gang but the ACU intervenes mid-fight. To his surprise, they are there to arrest the Green Arrow for the murder of Detective Malone. Meanwhile, Lance (Paul Blackthorne) feels responsible for the prison break after Warner tells him she heard about him working with Damien Darhk. Mary Lambert directed the episode written by Barbara Bloom & Jenny Lynn.
