The second chapter of The Flash: Armageddon will see the return of a DC TV fan-favorite as Cress Williams returns to reprise his role as the fan-favorite Black Lightning, whose counsel the Scarlet Speedster (Grant Gustin) will seek out after he receives an ominous warning from Despero (Tony Curran).

Meanwhile, DC's Legends of Tomorrow will find themselves in 1940s Seattle with an unexpected guest, the original Bishop (Raffi Barsoumian), who managed to escape the evil Waverider and toilet parachute to reach the Legends' makeshift time machine just in the nick of time. However, what comes next, is anyone's guess!

Finally, on Batwoman, there's a Bat Team stand-off between Luke (Camrus Johnson) and the new Poison Ivy (Nicole Kang), which puts Ryan (Javicia Leslie) in a very awkward situation. Elsewhere, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) finds a new sidekick.

The Flash :

It was pretty cool, Barry seems to finally have a full grasp of what his powers can do. Got to say though, was cool to see Atom, but it makes me think these hero cameos are going to do very little in advancing this plot. Also dont expect a full team up moment. Also Despero's design sucked.

Legends Of Tomorrow :

It's pretty good this season, but doesn't really have much wow factor anymore.

Batwoman : Wake me up when they do something worth being interested in and its done well.

The Flash:

Armageddon off to a solid, fun and intriguing start. The 2031 foreboding sneak peek was something unexpected to start the episode along with Despero's narration in it.

Barry was across the episode in his best shape from the bullet train rescue scene to the way he stopped the Royal Flush Gang.

I think the whole "level up" shtick could end up playing a bigger role later.

Killer Frost going on a "Eat, Pray, Love" tour to forget about Chillblaine sounds hilarious but srs I hope she does. And Caitlin will try to date again, wonder how's that gonna impact the story later.

Barry is careful of Kramer's mimic powers, hmm. And I wonder where is Joe too.

Was nice seeing Ray again and trying to balance a normal life. I hope that he can pop up again in non-Armageddon episodes if possible given he left off with the promise of starting charity projects.

I feel Allegra's subplot was done in case Iris' temporal sickness gets worse later, she will have to assume leadership of the CCC media in case her boss can't.

Tony Curran is killing it as Despero so far, I like him already and his CGI alien form was good. Maybe just the way his third-eye appears is weird but nothing that rules out the effort put in nailing down his design.

"Now I know how Diggle feels like", lmao Barry.

That vision of 2031 with Flash running so fast that he was destroying the pavement could be why he later dons the golden boots. Eric Wallace said that the boots needed to have a reason so I wonder if there is some possible connection there.

Preview pics show that something goes wrong at Barry's loft, enough to make the team be wary. Can't wait for Jefferson's return.

Legends:

Nice to knows the Legends are moving forward in time. I was worried they were going to be stuck all of S7 in the 20s. I have to catch up.

Batwoman:

Mary as Poison Ivy 2.0 is a nice twist and build up for the real deal once Pamela Isley shows up in the latter half of S3.

I can honestly say I liked the new Royal Flush Gang we got over the one that debuted in Arrow some time ago.

Tuned into the Flash with expectations low after last season's garbage fire of a season, and honestly it was better than I expected. Certainly felt more akin to s6 quality than s7 quality- a good thing! Not perfect, and certainly flawed, but it was much better and more enjoyable.

I didn't care for the Royal Flush gang, that kind of attitude just comes off as excessive, exaggerated, and stupid. But, the way Barry took them out was really sweet. Destro is fine, I'm not really bothered by his appearance. Hopefully he becomes more compelling of a character too as the story continues. I also thought that Iris was written pretty solidly in this first episode, so that was nice.

Kaitlyn's comments about finally getting back out and dating after Ronnie made me chuckle a bit, as the writers seemingly forgot that she was into Zoom and then Malfoy in s3.

But most of all, it was nice to have Ray back. This portrayal of him felt more akin to Arrow s3 and the first season of Legends, more serious. It definitely seemed like there were some not so subtle digs at the Legends showrunners/writers over him being forcibly written out of the show. Can't believe its been 2 years. But, I also wish that he had stuck around for more of this, and that as the story continued each episode, the "team" assisting Barry also grew.

Haven't been compelled after last season of Legends to watch this current season. I imagine I will at some point.
