TNT'S previously announced 'Titans' may be getting a new name according to a report from SeasonZero.com. The show, which will feature a team of young adult heroes led by Nightwing (Dick Grayson), will now be titled 'Blackbirds.' Apart from Nightwing, the other previously reported characters are Barbara Gordon (who will not operate under the 'Oracle' codename), Raven/ Rachel Roth, Starfire/Koriand'r, and Hank Hall and Dawn Granger as Hawk and Dove respectively. 'Blackbirds' may refer to the many bird themed/ named characters in the show and may also serve as an indication that another of the version of Batman's sidekick Robin may feature.

Alongside the title reveal, it was also announced that the show will film in Toronto, Canada with production due to begin this spring.

Take this news with a grain of salt but expect a formal announcement and possibly some official castings at the TNT upfront this May 13th. In the mean time, share your thoughts on the possible title change in the comments section below.

Seriously? From being too blatant in naming to giving a title that has little relation to the team at all

couldn't care less if I tried. TV is being oversaturated by comic book shows.

I had no idea this was even greenlighted. Don't really care about the name, and I'm not even sure if I'll get this show on my satellite. TNT doesn't show in Canada. If they put it on TBS (Peachtree), maybe.

I would like to see it, because Nightwing is a badass.

Faaaaaake. Excited for the show, but at the very least, the Blackbirds title will be saved for the production name during filming

And it's dead...It will get a pilot maybe a half a season but this whole thing now sounds so dumb. I will watch but this will end up like Gotham or Birds of Prey.

if CW did a teen Titans with Roy Harper and Dick Grayson it could be waztchable.

I think this would be a smart move actually- means you can minimise the number of A-list heroes and focus on Dick, Babs and Starfire (Giggidy giggidy) which they'll obviously set up as the love triangle. They can focus on these guys without annoying lots of fans by just including a bunch C-list backups.

At the same time it allows Roy to stay in Arrow and Flash to introduce Wally before they do some big 'Titans' themed crossovers (I can see Kara being chucked in there as well).

Dumb title if true. I'll still watch. I'd rather have night wing be part of the DCU though...

Should be titled Nightwing and Hawk with a bunch of chicks.

How about they ditch the tv show and give us [frick]ing movie? It would be the perfect way to introduce Robin, Deathstroke, and Cyborg to the DCCU.
