TITANS' Latest Episode Takes Beast Boy Into The DC Multiverse And Includes Some Huge Cameos - SPOILERS

In the latest episode of Titans, "Dude, Where's My Gar?" Beast Boy discovers the horrifying truth about his origin.

It turns out The Chief owned the lab that created the virus which killed Gar's parents and gave him his powers as part of his experiments. It was all part of the Doom Patrol leader's research into immortality, and this shocking revelation is followed by the Titan using the Red to get back to his fellow heroes.

However, Beast Boy inadvertently finds himself adrift in the DC Multiverse, leading to a long list of cameos...sort of.

Footage from The Flash TV series, Swamp-Thing, and even Shazam! sees the hero witness just how many other heroes exist across all these different realities. Gar even gets a glimpse of an alternate version of himself thanks to a scene from Teen Titans Go!, and it's a fun sequence we're guessing isn't all that dissimilar to this June's The Flash movie.

We do, however, get a proper Multiversal meeting when Gar crosses paths with Brec Bassinger's Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl. They have a quick chat and, while that character is now part of the Arrowverse, there was actually a time we expected her to also call the Titans-verse home.

Titans' fourth season will be its last as it was cancelled alongside fellow former DC Universe series Doom Patrol to make way for DC Studios' new slate of projects. Many fans have been disappointed by the decision, but neither series really managed to find a great deal of critical acclaim and often made creative decisions that disappointed fans (such as the handling of Red Hood's debut).

There are tonnes of clever references to the wider DCU in this episode of Titans, anyway, and that's something we definitely have to praise the series for.

Check out the cameo-filled sequence from Titans in the player below.

It should not have taken as long as it did for Vic and Gar to cross paths.

Back when Ezra’s Flash and Grant’s Flash met in 2017 or was it 2018, they proved how all the DC shows are connected to the multiverse.

@Arthorious - Still one of the coolest moments to ever happen. I didn't think they'd be able to pull that off and the fact it remained a secret till the episode aired was outstanding

Hearing The Joker from the old Adam West Batman show was a nice and unexpected touch.

This was really cool.

That was GRANT MORRISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was he drawing, it looked like a variation of the multiverse map. Maybe a megaverse map?

I love that they got a lot of animated soundbites in there too. That's a good way to do it, I hope The Flash movie does it that way...

A Kevin Conroy audio sample would really be appreciated.

I could only make it 1:40 into the clip before it was too painful.

I've grown out of these shows. There are too many high quality productions out now to waste my time supporting this level of effort.

He didn't come face to face with any of them except for Stargirl...damn you're terrible at writing or you don't know what face to face means

Kinda bittersweet this era of DC television is coming to an end. Titans, Doom Patrol, The Flash, and Superman & Lois not too far behind it. This episode was a nice little sendoff.

@Himura - Unifying everything cross all media as Gunn wants is just gonna backfire on them. The fact that DCTV could be it's own thing separate with this kind of creative freedom is what drew many to it and honestly it works. Their DC Elseworlds label that Gunn officiated is right there in letting some of these to continue (S&L) or to be properly revived. (Stargirl)

I don't think they are gonna ever learn.
