Does UFC Lightweight Champ Conor McGregor Have A Role In One Of The Final Seasons Of GAME OF THRONES?
Just a rumor for the time being, but a new report indicates that the notorious one may have been "headhunted" by HBO for an unspecified role in one of the final two season of Game of Thrones...
Could we see UFC sensation Conor McGregor swagger into Westeros at some point over the next couple of years? That's the rumor put forward by The Sunday Life (via Belfast Live), who reports that the Irish fighter has booked a role in one of the remaining seasons of Game of Thrones.
The Northern Irish publication cites their source as saying the following:
“It’s been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game of Thrones. He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the GoT directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”
No official word on this, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. McGregor recently took an extended period of time off from the octagon, and was spotted in Belfast just last week. He's also had dealings with Game of Thrones cast members, having appeared opposite Kit Harington (Jon Snow) in this year’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and sparred with Hafþór Júlíus “Thor” Björnsson (The Mountain).
Of course even if this is on the level, it's probably safe to assume the UFC champ won't have a large role - but some kind of featured cameo that made use of his considerable physical attributes could be pretty cool.
