OMG the costumes look so... so... Golden Age, and it's great. I love how well they have managed to catch that sense of nostalgia. The Original Night Owl looks like a homo though, can't help it, its the funny-colored underoos, lol. Seriously though this was a neat bit of foreplay. This movie looks like it'll be cooler everytime i see something new on it.
Oh yeah, I found a Rorschach cameo in Astonishing X-Men Vol. 3 issue #6. For those of you that may have that comic, lets see if u can find him, he is only in one frame, but it is quite clearly Rorschach.

SNYDER IS A TRUE HOMAGE DIRECTOR, IF ONLY EVERY DIRECTOR THAT TOUCHES A COMIC BOOK MOVIE WAS AS TRUE TO IT IF NOT DEAD ON LIKE SNYDER..HIM NEXT TO DELTORO AND RAIMI..ARE THE ONLY ONES IN HOLLYWOOD SO FAR NOT TOTALLY BASTARDIZING BELOVED COMIC CHARACTERS..

hmmm...agreed with some of what you said Gunsmith, but I do think Raimi murdered Spiderman with Spiderman 3. Another great director for comics is Bryan Singer, I think he handled X-men 1 and 2 very well.

I recently found out that the Studio basically forced Raimi into including Venom, which screwed up Raimi's original plan for SM3. Sometimes you gotta be careful who you blame for things in movies. For instance, you may not like the way Jennifer Garner portrayed Elektra, but what about the director that kept shouting cut and told her, "I want you to act more like this." Or the producer that tells the studio they are pulling there funding on the project if you don't do the story just this way. Point is, don't go on a witch hunt right off the bat.

yeah thats true of Raimi with Spiderman 3...thats why i think he may push for his choice of villain in the next movie..read more about that over at notyetamovie;)

Great find Ror. I'm diggin' the nostalgic feel of the costumes. I think they did a phenomenal job with bringing the Golden Age look to life. I always thought Hollis Mason's night owl looked a bit fruity as well, but that was the 40's...NO Superhero really looked badass or anything. So it makes sense for him to be wearing tights and really strange skivies. I said a while back I wouldn't comment on this movie anymore. Apparently, I lied. Sue me. This is going to be great. Fanboys can bask in their idiocy for as long as they want. I'm going to see ths opening weekend. Whenever that may be.

I heard that Raimi's choice was actually Vulture. Which I think would have been cool, he doesn't get enough air time for the badass he really is. Kind of corny, but for an old man, he's sweet.

good point Myth...oh, and about the actual article, looks good. Looks just like the comic. haha, Night Owl I's costume does look kinda gay, but that's a hard costume to translate to film, but I think they did a good job with it

looks really cool, he's taking the comic book into consideration really well.

If Fox had a director with only half the comic knowledge and consideration like Snyder, The Wolverine movie wouldn’t end up being a directors vision, S$@T movie, that everyone knows won’t be anything like the comics… Hats off to you Snyder and Warner Brothers for giving us what we want!

looks AMAZING!

costumes are very true to the comic, Snyder did wonderful.

and i don't remember who it was, but on another page someone said something along the lines of "Snyder needs to quit putting his sketch pad on top of the comic and stop tracing it as a storyboard...blah blah blah...he needs to do his own work for the movie"

well, if that were true, we'd get screw ups like X3 and Spider-man 3 from him.

leave the guy alone. if you want something true to the comic, go to Snyder, stop bashing him because he's practically the ONLY director staying true to the original work.

The non-squid ending is gonna ruin this for me.

While that looks amazingly accurate (and it's interesting to see both Nite Owl's have the same belt design) homage does not make a movie. From everything I've seen or read so far, Snyder doesn't get the jist of it.

or maybe your gist isnt everyones gist, or even a correct gist, seems like most of Snyder's interpretation is pretty spot on, other than the relatively minor changes compared to 99% of hollywood travesties, I've just read the comic and I dont see the problem some hardcore people are having, other than getting most of what they want (and I'd like too) and insisting their meal is a turd if the last 5% isnt there.
