Avengers: Endgame ended with Steve Rogers travelling to the past and then returning to the present day as an old man. While Chris Evans' tenure as Captain America is at an end, it's hard to imagine the character being killed off screen, and many fans wonder if he could appear in
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+ when it streams next year.
Well, during a recent interview, Evans was asked about the possibility of showing up in the highly anticipated series and while he's clearly open to reprising the role one day, it sounds like the actor wants it to be meaningful and something that pays homage to the time he spent in the MCU.
"Probably not," Evans said when asked a return in
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
"There were a million ways that tenure with Marvel could have gone wrong and it didn't so to stick the landing so well, it would be a shame to kind of revisit unless there was something unique that we felt the need to reveal. For now, it just feel like 'Let's be content with how well it ended.'"
Steve Rogers is bound to be referenced in some way in the show, but for now, it sounds like an actual appearance is off the table. What do you guys think about the actor's comments here?
