Moon Knight is set to premiere on Disney+ tomorrow (tonight if you fancy staying up late), and Marvel Studios has debuted a new character poster featuring Steven Grant's best bud.
Marc Spector's London-based persona is a lovely chap, but not exactly what you'd call a social butterfly. His somewhat awkward manner is not helped by the fact that he often loses days at a time when Spector takes over, which ultimately ends up costing him a potential relationship with a colleague.
So, poor Steve's only real fried is a one-finned goldfish (the little fella does factor into the plot, but we won't say how!).
The review embargo lifted earlier today (you can check out my verdict here), and so far, critics seem to be impressed by the first four episodes. Not everyone was won over, though, and the show currently sits at a respectable 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
The limited series also stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes, with Jeremy Slater on board as writer.
