In last Wednesday's episode of Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan paid a visit to her grandmother in Karachi and discovered more about the source of her newfound superpowers (gaining a better grasp over them in the process).
We also learned more about the ClanDestine and Noor Dimension, though Kamala found herself embarking on her first team-up after meeting the heroic Red Dagger. He proved to be a formidable ally, but with those villains on the loose (breaking out of prison and getting to Pakistan in a matter of hours was surprisingly effortless for them), more trouble is on the horizon.
Now, a final batch of stills from "Seeing Red" have been revealed that showcase these confrontations and a number of other big moments. Those villains are still a tad generic, but Kamala's powers are definitely beginning to look a little more in line with her comic book counterpart's "embiggening" abilities.
The episode ended with Kamala transported back in time, and it's there we're guessing more will be revealed about her family's past. Comic book fans will also know that the Partition was a key moment in Ms. Marvel's history, so we're curious to see how it's explored in the MCU...and how much longer it will be before Kamala's mom figures out what she's up to!
Take a look at these new Ms. Marvel stills below:
Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?
Joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the show are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
The first four episodes of Ms. Marvel are now streaming on Disney+.
