Yesterday evening, Deadline reported that, "Marvel simply has too much going on at the moment and will take its time on the live action adaptation." While many assumed that meant it would be a long time until work on the movie started, Bleeding Cool have learned that that's not the case and it wont be that long until the teenage superheroes make their way onto the big screen.
"But Bleeding Cool can very happily and exclusively reveal that this is not the case. The film still has a scheduled shoot, it’s just that the schedule isn’t as tight as it used to be. The production is now on the calendar for 2012 production, which will likely mean a 2013 release."
With
Runaways more than likely one of Marvel Studios' lower budget pictures, it's not hard to believe that they could get it released that early but what of other rumoured projects like
Black Panther and
Doctor Strange? And will
The Avengers be the only comic book movie from the studio in 2012? Be sure to share your thoughts about this news in the usual place!
