TRUE BLOOD Alum Stephen Moyer Lands Lead Role In Bryan Singer And Matt Nix's X-MEN Pilot
The cast of Matt Nix and director Bryan Singer's X-Men pilot continues to grow, with the latest addition being True Blood star Stephen Moyer. Who is he playing?
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that True Blood alum Stephen Moyer has been added to the cast of Fox's untitled X-Men drama from showrunner Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and director Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse). He joins Blair Redford as an unknown mutant character and Jamie Chung as a new version of X-Men: Days of Future Past character Blink.
In the series, Moyer will take on the role of Reed, an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA's office with his responsibilities to his family. He's obviously going to be the father in the family which the show will revolve around. The wife and mutant child (who we currently don't know the sex of) have yet to be cast, but news on that should follow shortly.
The show is set to focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The Sentinels have been confirmed as appearing while Nix has been previously quoted as saying that the untitled series will be set in the same world as the films.
