The Punisher was scheduled to have a presence at New York Comic-Con this Saturday, but in the wake of the mass shooting in Las Vegas earlier this week, Marvel and Netflix have understandably pulled all coverage of the gun-heavy crime drama from the event.
“We are stunned and saddened by this week’s senseless act in Las Vegas. After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn’t be appropriate for Marvel’s The Punisher to participate in New York Comic Con,” said Netflix and Marvel in a joint statement. "Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and those affected by this tragedy."
The Punisher is expected to premiere at some point this year but the exact date is still being kept under wraps.
