THE GIFTED: Thunderbird Hits Rock Bottom In New Photos From Season 2, Episode 15: "Monsters"

The Gifted continues its stellar sophomore season on February 12 with an intense episode that will see the Mutant Underground & Morlocks team-up to take on the Purifiers. However, based on this latest batch of photos from the following week's hour, it looks like their showdown may result in more than a few casualties.

The February 19th episode - season two's penultimate hour - will see Reeva (Grace Byers) finally lay out her master plan, which is apparently more twisted than any of us could've possibly imagined. Meanwhile, Caitlin (Amy Acker) embarks on a mission of her own when Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) can't summon her powers. Elsewhere, Eclipse (Sean Teale) and Reed (Stephen Moyer) take matters into their own hands.

THUNDERBIRD HITS ROCK BOTTOM ON AN ALL-NEW "THE GIFTED" TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, ON FOX

Lauren can't access her powers when it matters most, leaving Caitlin to take matters into her own hands when they are being pursued. Reeva finally reveals her plan for the Inner Circle and it's darker than anyone could have imagined. Meanwhile, Jace confronts some regrets about his actions and is torn between pressures from the Purifiers and his own beliefs in the all-new "Monsters" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Feb. 19 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

@JDL - oh the brother, I didn't mind his sister at all. The parents graded on me a little bit but they seem to get less obnoxious. I'm thinking of picking it back up through hulu. Do you think it's worth it?

@SpideyQuad - I've moderately enjoyed it, so yes. As for Strucker fils I find he grates less as a villain than as a good guy.

love this show...
wish the X-Men film characters could be in it as well...
that will be huge, if they ever do that...
but oh well...
it is what it is...

@Darlene1974 - it may be just me but the first season came off as "comic book lite" which is my term for doing a crappy job because you don't have the budget. I got enough of that from Netflix so I was already suffering from the fatigue before "gifted" even started. I realize it's not very realistic, but I want the comics, I get enough of the real world every day.

@SpideyQuad - no matter what, I still love the show. I dont mind it for what it is. I completely accept it for what it is.

This show still really impresses me. I really like it.
I hope it doesn't get killed by the merger, but it seems inevitable.
Would love to see it play out through the whole "where have the X-men gone" storyline and bring them back
