It's almost here! As anticipation builds for the third season of the universally acclaimed TV series, NBC has released a promotional featurette that not only gives us insight as to what we can expect from the series' third outing but also provides us with our first look at a scarred Mason Verger (portrayed this time around by Joe Anderson) and the Red Dragon himself, Francis Dollarhyde AKA the Tooth Fairy (portrayed by Richard Armitage). The featurette also shows us who survived the shocking Season 2 finale, so if you want to watch the upcoming premier knowing absolutely nothing, you may want to avoid watching the featurette.
The third season of the show will adapt the fugitive storyline from the eponymous 1999 novel,
Hannibal, before delving into the plot of the
Red Dragon novel. Elements from
Hannibal Rising will also be incorporated into the third season of NBC's
Hannibal.
