We didn't spend a huge amount of time in the present day in The Book of Boba Fett's latest episode, but the stage is definitely being set for a full-blown war between Lord Fett and the Pykes. After talking Mos Espa's crime families into remaining neutral, Fett realises he needs a lot more firepower.
He's already managed to hire the Wookie bounty hunter who tried to kill him, Black Krrsantan, while that newly acquired Rancor managed to strike fear into Tatooine's most hardened criminals.
However, as the episode ends, Fennec Shand asks her boss how much money he has. Fett's problem isn't credits, it's not having an army, but Shand reminds him that muscle can be bought. With that, Din Djarin's theme from The Mandalorian plays, and it now seems clear that he's about to be enlisted to join this fight (giving us a glimpse into what became of him following his own show's season 2 finale).
We're betting on a lot of familiar bounty hunters ultimately joining Fett's cause, but seeing Din fight alongside them promises to be absolutely epic.
This potential cameo should be particularly interesting because the last we saw of the bounty hunter, he'd passed Grogu to Luke Skywalker and seemingly had a fight on his hands with Bo-Katan Kryze over the Darksaber. Hopefully, we'll get some insight into where his story goes next, but he definitely owes Fett one after he helped out in the fight against Moff Gideon's forces.
Are you excited for another Boba Fett/Din Djarin team-up?
