OBI-WAN KENOBI Series Will Reportedly Feature An Appearance From Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano

Although we still don't have official confirmation, multiple sources have reported that The Mandalorian Season 2 will feature the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano, with Rosario Dawson (Sin City, Daredevil) taking on the role.

Previous rumors have indicated that the fan-favorite force-wielder will only have a relatively small part to play in The Mandalorian before going on to headline her own spinoff series at some point, but we're now hearing that Ahsoka could return to Disney+ much sooner than anyone will have expected.

According to The Illumiderdi, there are plans in place for Tano to appear in the currently in-development Obi-Wan Kenobi series. They're not sure now the character will factor into the plot, but their sources have assured them that Dawson is "currently in negotiations and is expected to have a presence in the upcoming show."

Kenobi is set long before the events of The Mandalorian, but that doesn't mean an appearance from Ahsoka would be out of place, as she had plenty of dealings with the Jedi Master and may decide to seek him out on Tatooine to find out what exactly happened to Anakin Skywalker. That's pure speculation on our part, of course.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian is still on track to premiere this October, so hopefully we'll some kind of official updates soon. For now, let us know what you think about the prospect of Ahsoka Tano showing up in Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi series down below.

Wait what? But she wasn't sure if he was alive in Rebels. So did she meet him between that Rebels episode and ANH? In which case Ewan would have to be doing an Alec Guiness voice.

Or maybe she's in a flashback?

Maybe they appear together at the beginning of the first episode (Also, Anakin cameo). Then, a leap forward in time, and we see Tatooine and a hooded figure walking through the sandstorm.

You are a bold one, Ahsoka

Okay I'm a newb when it comes to the Star Wars animated series and shows. Can someone tell me which shows to watch and in what order? I want to be prepared for these characters appearances.

@smgmayhem - I mean, you can either just watch them in chronological order based on how they were released or chronological order based on when they take place in-universe. It's the age-old Star Wars question.

All we know for sure is; don't touch Resistance.

@smgmayhem - watch The Clone Wars, all seasons, and then Rebels. Don't bother with Resistance as it was pure garbage. Season 6 and 7 of Clone Wars are short. Once you get through the 1st season, Clone Wars really hits its stride until the end. The animation style for Rebels turned a lot of people off, but you get used to it. It really does add a lot more lore to the world of Star Wars.

@Philvis - Is it wrong that I liked season 1 of clone wars? haha.
I was shocked by how much I loved the clone wars, and as you say, it added so much to the star wars world.

I haven't seen season 7 of clone wars yet, but I have seen season 1 of rebels... so can I ask, should I continue with season 2 of rebels, or watch cclone wars 7 first? I'm confusing myself haha

@smgmayhem - Look up the official guide on the Clone Wars in Chronological order. I recommend watching all of Clone Wars and all of Rebels. Clone Wars is fantastic and I do think Rebels is pretty great and gets way too much hate. Also people hate seasons 1 and 2 of Clone Wars but I think they're still pretty great. Also please pay attention to the Clones introduced as some of them are distinct and can and will show up in various places of the show. Knowing which particular clone is which will add layers to their characters and the overall story; I say this because it is initially hard to identify which clones are which because they look the same and have the same voices.

@LetThereBeLight - It depends if you want to spoil yourself with the best Clone Wars arc first or progress through Rebels Season 2 which is also amazing (especially the ending). It is also important to note that Rebels s2 really is when the show starts to connect with Clone Wars, especially with the events of s7.

Idk it's really hard to say. The last Clone Wars Arc in s7 is just so damn good and leaves the series off with such a high note that it might be hard to get that same high again in rebels.

It's up to you, but I think I recommend watching clone wars s7 after rebels as it was how most of us experienced s7

@LetThereBeLight - clone wars s1 and 2 were very enjoyable imo, especially with season 2 with geonosis and cad bane

@LetThereBeLight - oh there's nothing wrong with season 1, but it gets even better after it. Id finish Rebels before watching Season 7 of Clone Wars. Honestly doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but just keep Rebels fresh in your mind. Its easy to miss or forget stuff. Then when you watch Season 7, you'll be heartbroken as the great cartoons have come to an end.

Honestly, I'd be happy with just those two shows over new movies. So much more lore and respect for the franchise by Filoni. I grew up with the Original Trilogy in the theaters and these two shows are my favorite SW things since them. Well Mando is now up at the top too.

@kamikaizer - Yes, I agree. I really loved the Clone Wars, although I still have to watch season 7, so I'm looking forward to that!

@kamikaizer - Thanks for the advice man, and to be honest you are just making me excited as hell to watch the remaining shows!

I think I'll watch Rebels s1 again from the start and then as you say watch CW7 after Rebels to finish on a high!

@Philvis - I fully agree about the shows being better than a lot of the movies. I was really shocked that these 'cartoons' were actually proper really awesome star wars stories, with as you say, the lore and respect that they had. And of course I discovered a young Ahsoka too..

Also, now please don't throw something at me, but I haven't watched Mandalorian yet.... I know, I know...So I've got that to come too.

Nice chatting and I'll report back when I'm watching the shows.

@JustBrootal - thats correct. Would be so funny if she turns out to be a new character or not in it at all

She is one of my a favorite characters in Star Wars so more of her sounds good (assuming Rosario Dawson successfully transitions her into live action).

If the live action Ahsoka says "Sky guy" at any point, will it be okay for me to pay a bounty hunter with plenty of coin to go kick her in the nuts?

Sorry, in the ovaries.

I'd still like to see flashbacks to a young Ahsoka too. Heck, just give us her own show please..

@LetThereBeLight - oooh, I didn't even think of flashback with Anakin. Now that would be tight with Hayden, hell, bring on Obi-Wan too!

@Philvis - Exciting possibilities! I've just got hold of Lego star wars the force awakens game too, which I'd missed, so I'm going to have some lego Rey fun during the rest of lockdown!

Look, I get that Kathleen "The Force is Female" Kennedy is desperate to have a popular female lead and who better than an already established, beloved character, but Ashoka has no business being shoehorned into the Ben Kenobi Series, especially if she calls him Obi Wan.

Now that I mention it, did Maul call him Obi Wan when he faced him on Tatoonine? I need some confirmation. If he did, I need to know how long "a long time" is to the senile old man.

Then again, he was a notorious liar and possibly a bit of a bigot so, you can't trust a word.
Timerider84
Timerider84 - 5/19/2020, 12:24 AM
@inkniron - She could refer to him as Master Kenobi, not Obi-wan. Also, she could tell him that her former master is now Darth Vader.
inkniron
inkniron - 5/19/2020, 1:34 AM
@Timerider84 - seeing that she threw down her lightsabers and renounced the Jedi Order, I don't think it would be very good writing for her to still call him Master, even with it being a rank, especially with said Jedi Order also being defunct. It doesn't feel right. Also, Obi Wan and Yoda saw Sideous call Anikin Lord Vader on the security feed of the Jedi Temple so, he knows.
sickboy76
sickboy76 - 5/18/2020, 11:39 PM
That makes no sense a) she wasn't sure that he was even alive b) it wasnt until the battle on malachor that she knew who vader really was.
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 5/19/2020, 2:05 AM
Not buying this either. Some of the rumors really are just trying to shoehorn popular characters back into these shows. What if I told you that new characters can just be as interesting
