DEAN AND SAM FACE THEIR OWN BATTLES — Dean (Jensen Ackles) helps Jenna (guest star Laci J. Mailey), the nurse he met after the Darkness fell, get back home safely and then sets off to help Sam (Jared Padalecki) deal with a town infected by a mysterious and deadly gas. However, when Jenna falls into dangerous hands, she calls Dean for help and Sam tells him to go back to her. Unfortunately for Sam, he isn’t able to handle the townspeople turned monsters as easily as he thought. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#1103).

In the show’s tenth season, Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles) faced their most personal threat yet. The all-powerful Mark of Cain threatened to consume Dean, turning him into one of the monsters he has spent his life hunting. Meanwhile, a formidable witch, Rowena (Ruth Connell), rose to power to claim her position at the right hand of the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Once Rowena revealed herself to be Crowley’s mother, the King was forced to choose between his family and the Winchesters — all while Sam, with the help of fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley and some unlikely allies, waged a desperate battle to save Dean from the Mark of Cain. Taking matters into his own hands, Dean paid a terrible price to break free of the curse, but with Death defeated and Darkness freed upon the Earth, the Winchesters will need all the help they can get.

Sam is still an annoying idiot as he has been for a while. But other than that, this season opener has me interested.

So that baby is Darkness, huh? Only question now is whether her name is spelled like:

Or like:

Good start to the season. Loved the part when the demons said the lucifer and micheal were freaking out inside the cage and the fact that the darkness was released. Also shouldnt the death of death have some major universal consequences as well. Cancerverse anyone? Also for something that threatens the entire universe its taking time affecting one planet lol

@Ace101 I think that they only killed the vessel of Death. You probably can't kill Death, atleast not with his own "tools".

@Ace101
Darkness: "It's been eons. I need to stretch my wittle baby legs... I'll get to the rest of the damn Universe when I feel like it!"

Also. People are still dying. Death must be alive if people are getting killed.
