Well, we've had a pretty bonkers first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, so it only seems right that it'd be followed by a poster for Sony Pictures' upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation.
It appears opinions are split on this one so far, which is no great surprise when 2018's Venom seemed to be either loved or hated by most fans. It made an absolute killing (Carnage would be proud) at the box office, though, so the franchise is moving forward with this unique take on the titular symbiote.
As for this poster, it gives Tom Hardy's Venom the spotlight, but we get to see things from Cletus Kasady's point of view as he opens his jaws and attempts to take a bite out of his dear 'ol dad. Well, that was the relationship between Venom and Carnage in the comic books - whether that' will be the case on the big screen remains to be seen. They definitely don't like each other, though!
"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's newly launched website. "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."
Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters globally this September.
