According to the latest news from
Bloody-Disgusting, Milla Jovovich will be returning again as "Alice" in
Resident Evil: Retribution. They also say that Paul W.S. Anderson will direct the movie from his own screenplay. Anderson directed both the first film in the franchise and
Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, which arrived in theaters last September.
Sienna Guillory had posted on
Twitter that she will be returning as "Jill Valentine," but according to the site, the character will be recast. They are saying that "Barry Burton", who was a member of S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Service), and "Leon Scott Kennedy," a U.S. Government agent, and previously an officer for the Raccoon City Police Department, are going to be on the movie too.
The new movie will shoot this coming October at Toronto, Canada and Japan.
No Plot details were revealed yet, but Sony Screen Gems is aiming to have it in theaters come September 14, 2012. An October start date could ensure this.
