Check Out Over 50 New Promotional Stills From TOMB RAIDER!

While we don't know much about the film's plot, it's been heavily expected to essentially adapt Square Enix's recent Tomb Raider video game reboot, which was extremely well received amongst fans and critics alike. Vikander headlines a pretty stellar cast that also features Walton Goggins (Vice Principals), Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands), Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp), and Dominic West (The Wire).

Eight new clips, new interview snippets, soundbites, and over nine minutes of B-roll footage have just been released. Check out everything below:

Ana Miller (Kristin Scott Thomas) does her best to convince the young Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) to sign some papers, otherwise, she stands to lose everything her father (Dominic West) has ever worked for. However, when pressed on carrying on her father's legacy, Lara stubbornly reminds her that she's "not that kind of Croft."

Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) shows off her athleticism as she chases down Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins), who is escaping at a very slow pace. When he attempts to sweet talk her, she delivers a swift kick to the face before engaging in a pretty brutal fight.

Richard Croft (Dominic West) leaves his daughter Lara (Alicia Vikander) a very interesting item in his will. The item, as Lara explains, is a Karakuri, a Japanese puzzle, and once Lara cracks the code, she discovers a photo and an intriguing clue.

Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) listens to a video recording from her late father (Dominic West), who asks her for one very big favor: to burn all his research on a certain project. However, it's probably a safe bet that she's not going to burn everything just yet.

A very confused Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) arrives on the mysterious island and promptly meets the villain of the picture, Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins), who's seemingly glad to see her.

Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) hangs on for her dear life as she nearly goes off the edge of a waterfall. Luckily, her timing is just as good as her video game counterpart and she narrowly escapes a grisly fate.

Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) solves another puzzle, this time obtaining access into a secret underground tomb. However, she still finds herself in deep trouble with Mathias Vogel (Walton Goggins) and his goons still watching her every step.

Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) lays out what she knows about her father's mission to her friend Lu Ren (Daniel Wu), however, when she starts further explaining her plans, Lu is quick to warn her that "death is not an adventure."

Academy Award-winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) shares a few soundbites about her role as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. She talks about the origin story, her character, the physicality of the role, what she loves about Lara, and the classic adventure tale.

Primetime Emmy-nominee Walton Goggins (Vice Principals) shares a few soundbites about his role as the villain, Mathias Vogel. He talks about his character, Vogel's nefarious motivations, Alicia Vikander's passion for Lara Croft, and his chemistry with Alicia.

Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands) shares a few soundbites about his role as Lu Ren, Lara's most trusted friend and travel companion. He chats about Lu Ren's journey, working with Alicia Vikander, working with Walton Goggins, the film's impressive set pieces, and working with Norwegian director Roar Uthaug (The Wave).

2x Golden Globe-nominee Dominic West (The Wire) shares a few soundbites about his role as Lara's father, Richard Croft. He chats about the father-daughter dynamic between Lara and Richard, his character, the responsibility of being a Croft, watching Alicia's first fight scene, and the film's mass appeal.

Alicia Vikander sits down for a fun interview where she reveals many behind-the-scenes secrets about the making of the film. While she's previously ventured into the sci-fi and spy genres with Ex Machina and The Man of U.N.C.L.E., respectively, this will be her first big-budget action film.

Fresh off an acclaimed turn in HBO's Vice Principals, Walton Goggins kicks off a big year with Tomb Raider, a film where he'll portray the film's primary antagonist, Mathias Vogel. He'll be seen again later this year, alongside Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, in Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Ant-Man and the Wasp, playing Sonny Burch.

Norwegian director Roar Uthaug expresses his excitement about completing his first big-budget Hollywood feature. His past credits include The Wave and Escape.

We also have over nine minutes of amazing B-roll footage, although you may want to be careful before you click play because some of it could be quite spoiler-y.

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class. Determined to forge her own path, she refuses to take the reins of her father’s global empire just as staunchly as she rejects the idea that he’s truly gone.

Advised to face the facts and move forward after seven years without him, even Lara can’t understand what drives her to finally solve the puzzle of his mysterious death. Going explicitly against his final wishes, she leaves everything she knows behind in search of her dad’s last-known destination: a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. But her mission will not be an easy one; just reaching the island will be extremely treacherous. Suddenly, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Lara, who—against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit—must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name tomb raider.

@MUTO123 - The Soul Stone should be in a place we have not been to and with a being we have not seen.
