Gal Gadot Hits The Weights As WONDER WOMAN Production Kicks Off
Gal Gadot posted an Instagram snap of her early morning workout as production on WB's live-action Wonder Woman movie kicked off today. Also, Geoff Johns and Clay Enos recently crossed the Atlantic for the start of filming. Could more casting announcements be imminent?
It appears that filing on Wonder Woman kicked off today in London. DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns was on location and expressed his excitement to director Patty Jenkins via Twitter. He's specifically in a town called Ricksmansworth.
DCEU set photographer Clay Enos also confirmed his arrival in London earlier this week. Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot also posted an Instagram pic earlier today of her early morning workout.
It's hard to say whether production is kicking off today or if actual filming is taking place. If it's the latter, expect the usual Hollywood Trades to start publishing exclusives for the actors and actresses filling out the film's supporting roles. It's currently rumored but unconfirmed that the Wonder Woman film will be set in present-day and feature flashbacks to World War One. The antagonists of the film are also rumored but unconfirmed as Ares and Circes. Currently Gal Gadot and Chris Pine (Steve Trevor) are the only actors confirmed. Nicole Kidman is currently in negotiations to play Wonder Woman's mother, the Amazonian Queen, Hyppolyta. All you amateur social media detectives should start coming through the usual sites to see what other actors and actresses are currently headed to England, particularly a town called Ricksmansworth.
Jason Fuchs penned the script. Wonder Woman arrives in theaters on June 23, 2017.
