WONDER WOMAN 1984 Director Patty Jenkins Already Has An Idea For A Third Movie Plotted Out
Wonder Woman 1984 was pushed back from this November to next June, but director Patty Jenkins already has some thoughts on how to handle a possible third instalment. Find more details after the jump...
Wonder Woman 1984 moves the action from World War I to, well, 1984, but fans are anxious to find out when Gal Gadot's Amazon Warrior will finally enter the present day outside of movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
Well, here's hoping it's the third instalment because director Patty Jenkins has now confirmed that she's already plotting another solo advneture for Diana once the sequel hits theaters. "I have pretty clear plans for Wonder Woman 3," the filmmaker recently confirmed. "Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that."
It's interesting that Jenkins refers to this as the end of an "arc" for the character because that could mean she's had plans from the start to tell Wonder Woman's story across a trilogy, which may suggest that the story either ends right before Batman v Superman, or takes us beyond that and leaves her in the present day...with Steve Trevor?!
It's hard to say for sure but the follow-up will more than likely be a success, so we can probably bank on a third chapter happening.
