2020 has not been a good year for fans of comic book movies. While Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey kicked things off in style (assuming you enjoyed the surprisingly divisive DC Comics adaptation), it was all downhill from there, with countless delays for both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe.
Now, things are finally looking up with Wonder Woman 1984 confirmed to release in cinemas internationally on December 16th and on HBO Max and the big screen in the U.S. on Christmas Day.
A select handful of critics got to watch Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman sequel yesterday, and that means we have some reactions from social media! As you can see below, the movie has received an overwhelmingly positive response, and it definitely sounds like we can expect it to hit us right in the feels (no great surprise when Diana Prince is being reunited with Steve Trevor).
We know from past experience that reactions like these should be taken with a pinch of salt, but they definitely bode well for a movie that's been hit by countless delays over the past year or so.
We'll have more for you on Wonder Woman 1984 soon, but check out these reactions below:
