Evan Peters Teases A Longer, More Detailed 'Quicksilver' Sequence In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE
Quicksilver's slo-mo sequence was a huge highlight of X-Men: Days Of Future Past and based on these recent comments from Evan Peters, it sounds like we should get ready for a much bigger and much more amazing sequence in the upcoming sequel. Come check it out!
Prior to the release of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past, there was some concern surrounding the inclusion of Quicksilver, but following the critically acclaimed film's debut, all worries were put to rest as Evan Peters' take on the character stole the show and left fans yearning for more. 20th Century Fox certainly heard the positive buzz and Peters was then swiftly confirmed to return as the speedster in the biggest X-Men film to date, X-Men: Apocalypse.
In a recent interview with Collider, Peters took a moment to share his enthusiasm for a brand new, much longer, much bigger, and much more detailed Quicksilver sequence, which took around 22 days to complete!
Check out his comments below:
"Yeah, Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It’s bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it’s an amazing sequence that they’ve put together. Just filming it, I was like, “Oh, my god!” I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It’s so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it’s going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it."
Sounds exciting! And don't expect this to be the only bit of Quicksilver goodness as it has been previously reported that he'll have an expanded role this time around with a much deeper character arc as he searches for his mysteriously magnetic father.
