Christoph Waltz Won't Return As The Villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld In JAMES BOND 25

Christoph Waltz was transformed into the iconic Ernst Stavro Blofeld for Spectre but the actor has now revealed that we can forget about seeing him return for the upcoming twenty-fifth instalment...

Earlier this year, Daniel Craig finally confirmed that he'll return as 007 in the currently untitled James Bond 25 which is set to be released on November 8th, 2019. The previous instalment - Spectre - brought together plot threads which were first introduced in Casino Royale by revealing that Ernst Stavro Blofeld has been pulling the strings for all these years. However, he won't be returning.

During a recent interview about the movie, Christoph Waltz confirmed that he has no intention of coming back to the franchise (a sign that the James Bond producers have told him his services won't be required). "I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new…name. Sorry, but I would’ve liked to." It's possible he could be lying, of course, but this is probably for the best thinking about it.

The Blofeld reveal was extremely predictable and didn't really have much of an impact. Waltz, meanwhile, was definitely wasted in the role and taking things in a new direction will ultimately help the franchise in a big way (especially as Craig has decided to stick around rather than passing the mantle to a different actor). Would be cool to see just an old school Blofeld cameo in the movie but the Bond villains without any connection to the organization Spectre can be a lot of fun too.

They will probably recast Blofeld. They have never used the same actor to portray him more than once if I'm not mistaken. Its like bond himself... They just recast. Spectre was no where near as good as Rogue Nation so maybe Waltz dodged a bullet by not being in the next one

I didn’t even make it through Spectre long enough to know he was Blofeld....

there is zero point in making another bond with craig unless they do blofeld again. there is no [frick]ing prison on earth that will hold that man. he has to be the villain.

I like Craig as bond but lately all of roger moores bonds have been on a lot and I'm finding myself really enjoying them.
