JAMES BOND: NO TIME TO DIE Set Photos Reveal First Look At Lashana Lynch As The New 007(?)

Photos from the set of No Time to Die have surfaced online, and they provide our first glimpse of Captain Marvel actress Lashana Lynch as the mysterious MI6 Agent who'll (likely) be taking over as 007...

Though it still hasn't been officially confirmed yet, all signs point to Lashana Lynch being poised to replace Daniel Craig as 007 in the James Bond franchise, and we have a first behind-the-scenes look at her character right here.

The Daily Mail has shared some photos from the Italian set of No Time to Die, and they feature the Captain Marvel actress fully armed-up and looking more than ready to defend Queen and Country alongside Bond. The pics also give us another look at Lea Seydoux, who will reprise the role of Dr Madeleine Swann.

At this point it's not clear if Lynch will actually be taking over as the franchise's lead while the Bond character takes a backseat, but it seems more likely that this new 007 will simply feature in a supporting capacity alongside Bond... for the time being, at least.

I really like the director and writers (Scott Z. Burns & Phoebe Waller-Bridge) for this. The production woes seem to all be due to accidents instead of related to creative clashes, so I don't think it'll have that big of an impact on the final product

Also with Waller-Bridge doing a rewrite on this, Lynch's character is probably gonna be pretty complex? Depending on the extent of the rewrite I guess

@tmp3 - Speaking of Waller-Bridge, Fleabag's Emmy dominance was so satisfying.

@WakandanQueen - Yes! I was sad when I saw that Barry lost, but when I saw it lost to Fleabag I was ok with it. Comer winning Best Actress for a Drama for Bridge's Killing Eve was great too! Still gotta see the second season for that.

@tmp3 - Didn't Waller Bridge claim she only rewrote a scene or two and her fingerprints aren't all over it? I really like her Killing Eve work.

@tmp3 - I'll be surprised if Feige hasn't approached her yet.

@BlackBeltJones - That's disappointing to hear, but some Waller-Bridge is still better than no Waller-Bridge. Also Z. Burns did a full rewrite iirc, and he's a writer who I think is pretty strong.

Wonder who will be the next bond, no offense to this actress, but doubt she will be getting a movie to herself, people go to watch Bond movies, not 007 movies

@dracula - Elba, most likely.

@WakandanQueen - I could see that, although he is close to being 50, they might want someone younger

@dracula - I was hoping Henry Golding could have been the next Bond, but him signing onto Snake Eyes might have killed those chances

@dracula -

Think they'll go the lesser known route, so don't think we'll see the likes of Cavill or Elba, even if they are popular choices.

Can see it being someone like:

Aidan Turner

Sam Heughan

Is this the first time we've ever seen another 007. I know they've been referenced before but have we ever seen one on screen?

To be fair even a few Bond Girls have said there shouldn't be a female James Bond.
though here it's a new character taking on the 007 mantle, so it should be fine

I wonder how many people who'll get mad at this will remember that Bond isn't a MI6 agent anymore, therefore the 007 license was vacant.

There's been multiple 007s in the books. Nothing new. Its a position filled by many.
