Following its roaring debut during IMAX screenings of Avatar: The Way of Water over the weekend, Paramount has officially released their extended sneak peek at Christopher McQuarrie's highly anticipated Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One and it's even more jaw-dropping than you mighjt have imagined.

The nearly 10-minute video primarily focuses on Tom Cruise preparing to perform the biggest stunt in cinema history, where he rides a motorcycle off a giant ramp in Norway and parachutes off to safety. It's been teased quite a bit in the early marketing, but this is the first time we can really grasp the immense scale of the stunt and just how jaw-dropping it is for Cruise to pull this off himself.

The behind-the-scenes footage also ends with a few new clips from the movie, including a lot of fresh looks at the many new characters in Dead Reckoning Part One, so definitely make sure you watch till the very end!

Check out the extended sneak peek below:

In addition to Cruise as the headliner, the highly anticipated McQ-directed action blockbuster will also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow, Frederick Schmidt as Zola, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.

Newcomers to the franchise include Hayley Atwell (Avengers: EndgameCaptain America: The First Avenger) as Grace, Shea Whigham (Perry Mason; Marvel's Agent Carter), Pom Klementieff (Avengers: Endgame; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Esai Morales (TitansLa Bamba), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2Hobbs & Shaw), Cary Elwes (The Princess BrideSaw), Indira Varma (Game of ThronesCarnival Row), Mark Gatiss (The FatherThe Favourite), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: MaverickTransformers: Age of Extinction), Greg Tarzan Davis (Top Gun: MaverickGrey's Anatomy), Mariela Garriga (NCIS; NCIS: Los Angeles), Marcin Dorociński (The Queen's GambitVikings: Valhalla), and Lampros Kalfuntzos (No Time to Die; Ted Lasso).

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One lights the fuse in theaters on July 14, 2023; with the expected franchise finale, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, set to arrive the following year on June 28, 2024.

Tom Cruise truly is ready to do the most insane things in name of our entertainment. It'll probably kill him (and I think McQ knows it), but until then I gladly watch.

And it's because of these insane things MI8 is my most anticipated movie of 2023.

Tom Cruise is going to eventually die doing a movie stunt. And honestly, I think he knows this and is okay with it.

I'm not a stunts guy but man is Tom cruise is a madman, jesus. I just don't think the mission impossible world is for me, but I enjoy Tom's dedication to truly topping himself. He always seems like he's having a ball

Tom cruise is the GOAT, a throwback to when movie stars ONLY cared about making movies to entertain us while making bank doing it. A Hollywood version of the social contract. You give me your money and I take you to places and show you things you didn’t think were possible .

@TheOtherOn - That song from Tropic Thunder Cruise listened to was on the radio a couple days. I had to stop what I was doing and had to start dancing like Tom there. It was a reflex and there was nothing I could do to stop myself! Ha
