The sequel to Clash of the Titans which starred Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton and Liam Neeson, has now been pushed back a week according to a report over at Deadline. Here is a brief excerpt:

The distributor said the Warner Bros./Legendary sequel, Wrath of the Titans, will bow March 30, 2012, a week later than its original March 23 date. That would put it directly against Lionsgate's The Hunger Games.

So, it's only a difference of seven days. Not a lot is known about the sequel, but we do know that the story takes place five years after the last movie and will see Calibus return from the underword seeking vengeance against Perseus. Most of the stars from Clash of the Titans will reprise their roles.

Being old enough to enjoy the original they were many differences in the remake that troubled me as well. however, I don't believe the remake was so terrible it shouldn't have a sequel. Leave the 3D crap alone and try working around the script.

Why would they bring Calibos back? I thought they (kind of) made peace by the end of the last one when Perseus killed him.

They should bring something more true to greek mythology into it. Even if they completely make up the rest.

But hey, they shit all over the mythology in the last one, why not just completely make up a load of shit for this one with a villain that's already been used?

I actually kind of liked the first one, but i was hoping this was actually going in a different direction. Not just recycling the same (less powerful) villain.

I wished they scraped the Perseus angle and brought a new actor in to play Theseus and his slaying of the Minotaur. Sam Worthington has toothpicks for legs.
