Prime Video has shared a new promotional interview video for The Boys, revealing the official premiere date for the long-awaited third season, which is now set to debut on Friday, June 3.

The series returns nearly two years after the end of its second season and will launch with three brand new episodes. Subsequent installments will debut on a weekly basis until its season finale airs on July 8.

Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit will all return, with Supernatural vet Jensen Ackles joining the main cast as Soldier Boy.

Newcomers for the third season also include Laurie Holden, Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston, Nick Wechsler, Katia Winter, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan.

While June is still a while away, we'll soon be reentering the VCU with the upcoming release of Diabolical, an animated anthology series set in the same world as the acclaimed series. There's also a college-set spinoff series in the works, but that's not expected till the end of the year, if not sometime in 2023.

Check out the new interview with Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid) below:

One of the best series out full stop. I can’t wait to see how unhinged Homelander is this season.

The problem with this show, as fun as it is, it's become too predictable.
You know the villains are too OP and you know the only way the ''heroes'' can deal with them is by outsmarting them and after many times it becomes quite predictable. You know exactly how it's going to play out when they do meet. When Homelander meets Hughie you know Hughie should be dead but you also know they won't kill him until maybe the final season, whenever that is, so in your mind you know how it goes...Hughie won't be killed and he will, AGAIN, use blackmail to get what he wants. Now this is fun when it happens now and then, but so far almost every encounter has gone this way.

There needs to be some level playing field.

To me the most interesting character is Butcher. Unlike pretty much every other character he isn't one or the other. He isn't a hero really and he isn't a straight up villain either. He walks the grayest line out of all of them by a mile. I would love to see an episode or so where the villains torture Butcher with that serum, make him into the thing he hates the most, and I would love to see how Butcher handles that, his unpredictability. I would love for Butcher to terrorize the villains, which is not something you see often on TV or even film. That would be a fresh take.

Just give it to me bruh.
I want the show to adopt the more "Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul" aspects under its surface, especially after wrapping up the Butcher revenge arc.
Basically, morally questionable protagonists that you want to root for, but keep finding themselves way out of their depth in trouble with highly dangerous individuals, only to miraculously survive the situation by the skin of their teeth.
It doesn't hurt that they have Giancarlo there as well.

Cameron Coleman would suffer a mental breakdown if Queen Maeve releases a certain black box's content.

Ironic he emphasizing that people should be compassionate with Homelander.

Hughie knows what was the deal with Ezekiel better than anyone.

They went into a different route with Lamplighter in S2 instead of him being back with a vengeance and feuding with Frenchie so maybe Supersonic won't fall into the predictable love triangle with Starlight and Hughie, maybe.

June 3 - Episodes 301-303
June 10 - Episode 304
June 17 - Episode 305
June 24 - Herogasm
July 1 - Episode 307

@NinnesMBC - Aside from the vibrant colors, I would rather have a helmet that doesn't cover the eyes and with more subdued wings.

With all the promos and marketing going on, I thought this wouldve dropped within a month or two, not June.

Easily best superhero season this year.
This is what differentiates good vs bad. This is what it should be.
Disney needs to take note. But we all know they won't/Cannot because of China.

I know everyone loved season 2, but I was severely let down. The first season was filled with smart satire of the entertainment industry, but S2 felt significantly more surface level. IDK, maybe the show was always like this, and its charm just wore off on me.

Either way, I'm hoping S3 is better.
