There's a lot to unpack from Marvel Studios' Hall H presentation, but we now have some additional details to share with you about some of the first Phase 5 titles.
In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
During the panel, it was confirmed that Bill Muray will appear in the movie...as will M.O.D.O.K! Footage was shown to those in attendance that including Ant-Man introducing himself to Kang as an Avenger. The villain responded by making it clear he's a Conqueror, so this Variant is clearly not one to take lightly.
Secret Invasion, meanwhile, stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos - characters who first met in Captain Marvel. They are joined by Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman and Regé-Jean Page. The crossover event series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
A sizzle reel also revealed that Don Cheadle's War Machine will appear in the series.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was also put under the spotlight, with the big news there being that Gamora has joined the Ravagers and, as you might expect, has no memory of Peter Quill or her teammates. Chukwudi Iwuji will play The High Evolutionary (check out a first look below), while Borat Subsequent Moviefilm breakout Maria Bakalova has been cast as Cosmo the Spacedog.
In the threequel, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Finally, while these weren't mentioned during the panel itself, Marvel Studios has quietly dated an additional six movies that will obviously be part of Phase 6. Expect them to be announced at D23!
