There were several endings and several beginnings in Avengers: Infinity War. The Russo Brothers spoke with the Huffington Post about which characters met their end off screen. Check out the list.

When Thanos snapped his fingers, half of all life in the universe disappeared into ash. Viewers were shocked when characters like Black Panther, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes and Nick Fury dissolved before their eyes. In the end of the film we saw which characters had lived, and which of them had died. Well, most of them.

There are many more Marvel Cinematic Universe characters whose fates are unknown — many characters who were off-screen at the time of the snap. The Russo Brothers were quizzed by Huffington Post on the status of a few characters.

Howard The Duck, whom we have seen twice in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, is marked safe. “He survived,” Joe Russo revealed. The directors revealed that Peter Parker’s aunt, May Parker, actually survived the finger snap. Also counted among the survivors: Black Panther‘s Nakia, who is out on missions, “deep undercover.”

However, it’s not all good news. The Russo brothers confirmed a large list of dead characters, who also crumbled to ash when Thanos snapped his fingers. Counted among the dead are Bruce Banner’s one-time girlfriend Betty Ross, Thor’s fellow Asgardian Lady Sif, and the Asgardian actor who played Loki in the outdoor play seen in Thor: Ragnarok (who probably is Matt Damon).

As open as the Russos were, they actually had to keep quiet on certain characters. The brothers played the “spoiler” card when asked about the fates of Jane Foster, Korg and Miek, Shuri and Peter Parker’s best friend Ned. “When we say spoiler, [we mean] potential spoiler,” Anthony said, meaning that those characters may not necessarily play a big role in Avengers 4.

As for Ant-Man, the Wasp and Hawkeye, time will tell.

In theaters now, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie.

I have a feeling Hank Pym is gonna be one of many wiped out at the end of 'Ant-Man & Wasp'. Its just something I've been thinking about. That might even be the post-credits scene.

What of the likes of Dormammu and Surtur. I say have them try and stop Thanos like the celestial did in Infinty Gauntlet.

@MrCamw1 - That would be sick!

@MrCamw1 - I wonder if the Dark Dimension would have been subjected to the snap, being another dimension...
MrCamw1
MrCamw1 - 5/12/2018, 4:46 PM
@Shroombeast - good question. Also with the dark dimension I'm wondering if Heimdall summoned some of Dormammus power to send Hulk to earth since he used Dark magic.

@MemoAcebo - damn right. If they hadn't killed off Ego I would have said him as well.

@MrCamw1 - pretty sure Surtur died destroying Asgard and Dormammu is in another dimension so I doubt the snap affected that reality

@Ha1frican - you could be totally right, but a man can dream can't he?? I just want the big and powerful beings showing up in 4.

@Vigor - Saudi - since the film was the first MAJOR (not counting black panther) release in theaters, then opened up in the new theater (which was an actual cinema, the second one) a week later getting tickets was difficult and it was family only. Exams came in, and well.... I just decided to wait until they were over.

@AbidNaga - Stark: "Seeing all my friends die...wasn't the worst part."

Fury: "The worst part was, you didn't."

What about Secretary Ross? Clint Barton’s family?
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 5/12/2018, 4:32 PM
@MediaMan - probably best they don't comment on Barton's family until Avengers 4... since we all expect his family did not make it.
MediaMan
MediaMan - 5/12/2018, 5:11 PM
@HeavyMetal4Life - I agree l, although the Russos could just say “potential spoiler.” But the Barton family question is one that shouldn’t be answered until the right time...

So... what if Happy Hogan didn’t make it? Lots of possible characters to consider...
HeavyMetal4Life
HeavyMetal4Life - 5/12/2018, 5:27 PM
@MediaMan - pretty sure Happy made it because he will have a role in Avengers 4

@HeavyMetal4Life - Imagine if the wasp dies at the end of ant man, a post credit, fueling ant man to join the avengers in A4, to get Hope back. That would be good. Same as Barton's family dying. Yeeeeeeeeeee

We already knew that Korg and Miek made it off with Valkyrie. But the big surprise here is Jane Foster, wonder what they have planned for her. Shuri will become Black Panther. Interesting but I guess not too surprising that Lady Sif and Betty Ross are dead.

I guess stuff like this just isn't for me, because saying who lived or died is redundant because at the end of Avengers 4 everyone who was wiped from existence will be brought back to life.

I also believe once the Avengers find the way to bring their friends back into existence and save the universe I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they also bring back people who died before Thanos winning in Infinity War, like Quicksilver.

A cancer suffering Jane Foster Thor sounds like something an actress like Natalie Portman could sink her teeth into with a good director.

@IKidYouNotMan - I would like to see it.

It also doesn't deminish Thor (which I think why most people disliked Jane Thor) as Ragnrok showed he doesn't need the hammer + has storm breaker.

I hope that annoying kid from Iron Man 3 & Trevor Slattery are dead.Jane Foster can die as well & Slevigg(I think that's how you spell his name)Keep Darcy alive, but she must now wear a white T-Shirt which is soaking wet all the time.

I hope theres a 6 month to a year time jump between the movies. Would be awesome to catch up with the surviving heroes and how them and the world are dealing with everything.

Lady Sif should still return tho. If the snap is indeed undone, then I hope a Thor 4 resumes with Thor, Valkyrie, Korg, Miek, Sif, and Elitr, perhaps starting a new Asgard and stuff. Plus I really want to see Taika take a spin on Sif. I've always had a thing for warrior women, lets capitalize on the great job they did with Valkyrie. Plus Sif has some great story material in there somewhere. Plus I think they can create a really interesting answer as to where in the hell she was when Hela took on Asgard. But seriously, Thor 4 y'all, I need it in y system. Introduce Beta Ray Bill, Balder, and maybe even Hercules. Lets get the Thor gravy train moving.

@ScarletWarlock - Im glad we have confirmation that Sif survived Ragnarok (wasn't killed by Hela offscreen). It's clear all the dust people come back.
