During a Twitter exchange with Robert Downey Jr., Marvel Studios announced that Avengers: Infinity War has been moved up from its domestic release date of May 4, 2018 and will now hit theaters everywhere on April 27, 2018!
Marvel movie usually open around The United Kingdom and Ireland at least a week before North America, which many fans have taken issue with over the years. Could this be a sign that the studio intends to change that policy going forward, or will it just be for this milestone instalment in The MCU?
That remains to be seen, but this new date does give the film 3 full weekends without much in he way of competition before Deadpool 2 hits theaters, so that might have something to do with it.
