The latest reports from Cleveland indicate that the only member of The Avengers who will film at NASA's Plum Brook Station is the one who brings them together in the first place, S.H.I.E.L.D's Nick Fury. What could this mean for the movie? Below are a few excerpts from the article in the Sandusky Register.

Filming began Monday at NASA Plum Brook Station for the new star-studded Marvel Comics movie, "The Avengers."

The filming is taking place in the big vacuum chamber at Plum Brook’s Space Power Facility and is expected to last the rest of the week, said Sally Harrington, NASA’s spokeswoman for Plum Brook.

NASA is apparently treating the filming like a national security matter and has ordered employees not to talk to the press.

It’s believed, however, that Samuel L. Jackson is the only big star from the film who is filming at Plum Brook.

Plum Brook has guards who control entrance into the facility, allowing visitors to enter only after showing their identification.

First day was monday? I thought they'd already started shooting at Plum Brook. Still, Nick Fury being the only character in the space scene is pretty interesting. Think he might be a Skrull and the real Fury is The Hoff?

Anyone notice how I got away with saying "first" up there? It's my first word. I also spell it out with the first letter of each sentence. I'm so proud of myself. And a little bored.

Possibly the after credits scene? Maybe we get a hint at Skrulls? Maybe a full blown Super Skrull.

The way Whedon's been talking about this, I don't think there will be an after credits scene.
Besides, if he's been looking at The Ultimates, then the Skrulls are a likely bad guy. The Skrulls and Loki. The Ultimates meets Ultimates 2/The Avengers #1.

Oh yeah. Fist. Damn. I just baked a cake in celebration, too. Guess I'll give it to the dog. He's a good dog. He deserves it. I'll try harder next time.

@weaponx1982 well Abigail Brand was created by Joss Whedon... There have been no rumors at all she's in it though. I wonder who they'd cast if she was in? Since it's a Whedon character, I wonder if it would be one of Whedon's actors? She's probably not in it though.

A vacuum chamber does not simulate the lack of gravity associated with space travel. I recreates the vacuum of space. Not sure why they would need to actually use it on Mr. Jackson.

"the only BIG star".

If skrulls are involved my guess is that coulson and maria hill are with him, they're the insertion team, while Thor and Hulk are destroying everything and directing their attention.

THAT would be epic.

It could be the after credits scene with Shield finding something in space, because Marvel needs something bigger than the Avengers trailer was to get people to sit through the credits again.
