Early Betting Odds For Ben Affleck's THE BATMAN Replacement Have Already Popped Up Online

Ben Affleck has only just officially stepped down as the DCEU's Caped Crusader but early betting odds for who could next down the cowl have started popping up online, and they make for interesting reading!

Ben Affleck is no longer going to play Batman and that means Matt Reeves is on the hunt for a new Dark Knight. As of right now, the trades haven't offered any names when it comes to who the filmmaker might be looking for, but speculation is running rampant and we obviously still have a long list of rumoured candidates.

Given the popularity of Batman, it probably won't surprise you to learn that Irish bookmaker
BoyleSports has started accepting bets for who could be the next Bruce Wayne in Reeves' The Batman

It's important to note that these don't necessarily mean anything because websites like these have no insight whatsoever into the casting process. Instead, they just come up who they deem to be the most likely candidates based on previous rumors and popular fan-picks, and then offer people the chance to gamble on them.

Regardless, it makes for fun reading and, well, if you're brave enough, why not put $100 on Henry Cavill and stand to make $10,000?

Here's the full list. Do you think there are any worthy candidates to play the iconic superhero?

11/2 Jake Gyllenhaal
13/2 Jon Hamm

Might as well give it to Armie Hammer since he was robbed of the role so many years ago.

I'm betting on Henry Cavill...

Isn't this being pitched as a younger Batman? Seems like Jon Hamm and Josh Brolin would be too old.

@HubbleFunk - Yeah it seems like everyone here is way too old.

@BrettMan - Agree. They should go younger... Zac Efron or Logan Lerman or Taylor Lautner or Nick Jonas.

@HubbleFunk - @HubbleFunk @BrettMan @CabbageMan - It's because these odds are form BoyleSports (an Irish betting company, Wilding is Welsh). So I'm not sure I would put too much stock into them...

I mean even the two "front-runners" right now - Jack O'Connell & Noah Centineo - aren't even on this list.

Man I wish it was Josh Brolin. I know it can't be cos they're going for a young version but after knowing he was so close last time and how perfect he would've been it's a huge shame it probably won't ever happen.

Could totally be down for Richard Madden or Miles Teller

I love Idris Elba as much as everyone else but come on, why is he always on these lists?? Bond, Supes and now Batman?? When are people going to learn that these movies are made by spineless producers without the balls to try something like that

@Saga - you dont need balls to do something as stupid as that
