Journalist Geoff Boucher and HeroComplex have longstanding within the geek community and have been fighting the good fight for a number of years. Recently Boucher teamed up with graphic artist Sean Hartter for a satirical take on where the Batman franchise could go next after The Dark Knight Rises. Matthew Vaughn at the helm with Michael Fassbender as Bruce in a 60's reinvention a la X-Men: First Class? How about Todd Phillips with Bradley Cooper as Wayne in a pure comedy? Or maybe the eclectic Wes Anderson in the director's chair with Luke Wilson as Batman and Owen Wilson as Two-Face? Check out the pics below and be sure to head over to HeroComplex for the full faux-film synopses.

Fassbender wouldn't be a bad choice per say but i'd rather have a more "mature" Batman if we're ever to get some Gotham Knights action.

As for the next director, Darren Aronofsky or James McTeigue PLEASE.

I'm trying...

Nope. Not funny. What Nomis said, pretty much.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha that's funny. Lol I couldn't stop laughing at the TwoFace lol

Once Nolan is gone, and TDKR is over, its going to be difficult for anyone trying to make a new Batman movie lol

Nolan set the bar way to high to make a CBM movie, not to say it isn't possible but it will be tough. Good luck to all who try.

So, for Friday. Why the hell would they choose Tim Burton as director of the dark Knight returns?

DC will no doubt reboot Batman to fall in line with their haphazard attempt to bring all their main characters successfully tot he big screen the way Marvel has surprisingly managed to do with recent ease. It'll probably be a whole lot more comic-booky like the previous films before Nolan but hopefully no where as cheesy!

I'd love to see Ridley Scott direct Batman Beyond. Looking forward to World's Finest and Arkham City as well.

the bar's been raised; you can't just throw anybody at the screen anymore just like you cannot give a batman film or a spiderman film to any director out there because cinema's becoming such a pricey hobby that people expect quality; if you charge like 10 pound/ ticket you want something extraordinary, not some names thrown together. I'd like to see Werner Herzog get his hands on batman...the most nihilistic batman movie ever made.

This is stupid, but I would love to see a Ryan Gosling as Bruce Wayne/Bryan Cranston as Commisioner Gordon type set-up with Michael Pitt as the Joker and maybe aronfronsky in the chair as director. Other than that no more Batman movies for like 20 years. (if it ain't broke don't fix it)

I say we go Batman Beyond and introduce him to the rest of the DC universe.

We'll just make like Nolan's films happened long ago and now real superheroes and supervillains exist which makes an old Bruce Wayne recruit a new Bats to carry on the fight

I say we let this franchise end before looking at a reboot. Look at how many people kicked off because Spider-Man was getting rebooted a mere 10 years after Sam Raimi's first installment of his trilogy.

Also, I'd say keep what kept Nolan's version appealing and fresh; a totally original vision (in terms of atmosphere and interpretation) and not just a carbon copy of a comic book.

P.S. The ideas from the article are absolutely awful. Just my opinion though.

People are taking this article the wrong way. It's not supposed to be laugh out loud hilarious or anything, just a clever parody of the film makers they are mentioning. It's actually pretty creative in some ways. I think the Wes Anderson one could have included Adrien Brody as Riddler and Angelica Huston as Leslie Thompkins also.

WB's best bet for the next Batman is to put him on the CW. It might actually make the network profitable. I think a tv series developed over the next couple years would face far less fan whining than a new Batman movie after only 5 years. Of course, they would have to make sure it was good (not great, but at least good).
