Why we can trust Nolan

Why we can trust Nolan

Previous movies have had painful portrayals of Bane and Catwoman. Now that we will see them yet again, I have faith that David Goyer and Christopher Nolan have got it right this time.

I know we speculate so much and I say why? We have evidence of two of the greatest CBM's in history already giving us the Batman we needed, and leaving the others in the dust without even a hint of competition.

I went to see Batman Begins and had no idea of what this Nolan man was made of. I will admit, at the first scene Scarecrow scared the hell out of me, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Needless to say, I walked out of that theater, very proud of Nolan's version.

I remember listening to a radio show where the hosts were talking about The
Dark Knight
I am Legend movie. The look on my face when I discovered Heath Ledger was The Joker? Not so great. But once saw his Joker pictures and saw the trailer--just like that i was proud of Nolan again.

So, don't fear my fellow Batman fans. Nolan will not disappoint for the most part and i am sure that Bane will have an impact on the world through the eyes of Nolan. Just as Scarecrow and Joker did.Just wait, and when the show begins, I'm sure our jaws will hit the floor again.(provided bane doesn't break them first!=0)

I agree man. It's hard to imagine how this is going to pan out, but I feel that it is in good hands. "The Dark Knight" was brilliant with how the Aaron Eckhart Two Face was completely different than the Tommy Lee Jones Two Face and the Heath Ledger Joker the same to Jack Nicholson's and Cesar Romero's Joker. I am convinced that Tom Hardy Bane and Anne Hathaway Catwoman will be better than their predecessors. Let's just hope Anne stays true to the epic Catwoman line up that Lee Meriwether and Michelle Pfeiffer provided and be thankful Halle Berry's Catwoman was just the spin off version. xD

I know I'm gonna love it but I haven't been a fan of the female casting as of yet.
Gyllenhaal and Holmes were nothing special. And I'm not the biggest fan of seeing Hathaway in the role.
It's gonna be unreal anyway, can't wait.

I just watched Bronson with Tom Hardy and all I can say is wow. He was good in that movie. If you haven't seen it yet, then watch it. I bet you will say WTF through out the entire flick.

we can trust him because he has proven himself. simple as that.

Christopher Nolan has proven himself with Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Inception. Except for The Prestige (which I haven't seen yet), that's three great films in a row. Not many directors can do that.
I'm a little iffy about Tom Hardy playing Bane...but heck, I didn't think Heath Ledger could do a decent Joker, and look how that turned out. Hathaway was my choice for Catwoman from the beginning, and I'm glad she got the role. So Nolan should do a bang-up job to end the trilogy.

I think people need to just be patient. I'm with you I don't think Nolan will disappoint and for people complaining about the villain picks based on previous versions need to stop and think about what Nolan has already done for this franchise. Good article.

Painful portrayals of Catwoman????

Painful? Try PERFECT! (or purrfect, if you're really cheesy). The only thing painful about it is how tight my pants get when I see her!

And don't try and tell me that Halle Berry movie was about Catwoman. It wasn't. It just used the same name.

I'm okay with the whole Catwoman thing. I think Nolan will bring a side to here we all will like, and I'm not talking about a hot chick in a tight suit. I still have my doubts about Bane, though. I think Riddler would have been a far better choice, but then, I didn't write the script.

You hit the nail on the head, everyone couldn't believe that Nolan cast Ledger as Joker. I remember reading comments on this site about how that was a huge mistake and he's not the right one for the role, why him??? Now the same people have posted comments about retiring the Joker and nobody else should portray the character. Just trust Nolan he's brilliant and the guy hasn't made a bad movie yet.

I have to disagree with you on the Catwoman thing though, Michelle Pfeiffer was awesome as Selena/Catwoman. I only hope Anne Hathaway can pull a Ledger on everyone and blow us all away.

balegirlbrazil don't miss out on The Dark Knight Rises, great history is gonna be made!
