Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrived in theaters a couple of weekends ago, and the Marvel Studios sequel has found great success since. Reviews have been extremely positive, while the movie has also been a box office hit.

In fact, as it heads into its third weekend of release over the Thanksgiving holiday, the movie is eyeing a $50 million haul from Wednesday to Sunday. There's little in the way of competition, of course, with Disney Animation's Strange World expected to underperform with a disappointing $23 million - $27 million haul.

Now is a good time to share what we're all thankful for, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler has done just that by sharing a letter of gratitude with fans.

You can read that in its entirety below, but the filmmaker starts by thanking people for heading out to see the sequel during its opening weekend. He goes on to thank everyone for their patience with a movie that featured a lengthy runtime and multiple languages, before reflecting on the emotional journey his Black Panther follow-up took everyone on.

He signs off by paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman, and it's clear the blockbuster's success means a lot to the writer and director. It also sounds like he intends to return to Wakanda down the line, though many fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Coogler is enlisted by Kevin Feige to helm Avengers: Secret Wars

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ranks among Marvel Studios' best movies, and is an emotional, uplifting, tour de force of a blockbuster," we said in our review earlier this month. "Letitia Wright delivers a powerhouse performance, while Angela Bassett’s majestic work will leave you reeling."

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now playing in theaters.

Say what you will about the movie, but Coogler has always semmed liked a genuine good dude and has proven himself to be a capable director. I look forward to seeing what he does next. He'd be my pick for Secret War, but i'll be more excited to see what he does outside the MCU.

Coogler is great story teller. I guess many have discussed this already, Namor initially want his secrets to be protected. So he went to Wakanda to get help to protect each of their vibranium resources by getting him the scientist. Once he got Shuri to his land and saw she is sympathetic to his goals and his people, he realized that it is the right opportunity to discuss that both cultures have same goal and if they worked together they can take on surface world. Establish a new world order. Then he saw opportunity to weaken Wakanda by killing the queen as he knows Shuri is vulnerable. Even at the end, his submission is just a ruse to get more time to create a case where he can take over the world and give his people more power and freedom. This is what I felt after watching the movie. I may have missed some points.

Dear Fans, thanks for not rioting when we , Marvel as a whole, seize the comics' canon and change everything around not because we care, but because forced inclusion means $$$$. And to Panther fans exclusively, thank you for tolerating a chubby "Namor" who dresses like an extra for a Brazilian "La Cage". Ja ja ja ja
