Black Panther has been a hit with critics and looks set to have a huge opening weekend in North America. While it's too soon to say how it will perform overseas, the movie nearing $1 billion worldwide seems possible and you'd best believe Marvel will want to move forward on a sequel soon.
During a recent interview with Variety, Kevin Feige was asked how many more Black Panther movies we could see and it sounds like he's keen on telling more stories about T'Challa on the big screen.
"We always say we work on one movie at a time. If you have any good ideas, put it in the movie you’re making. If you don’t, you might not be able to make another one. That said, Panther has been around for more than half a century in the comic books and there are many, many stories to tell."
Asked if he thinks co-writer and director Ryan Coogler will return, Feige said: "I hope so." The trade then pushed him for details and asked if the Marvel Studios President would like the filmmaker to come back. Feige made his feelings clear with a resounding, "Absolutely." With any luck, a sequel will be announced soon because the sooner we get to return to Wakanda, the better. What do you think?
