There was a lot to discuss after watching
Avengers: Endgame, but one moment, in particular, which really stuck with fans was when the Marvel Cinematic Universe's female superheroes assembled to square off with Thanos. Since then, speculation about an A-Force (the all-female team of Avengers) movie has run rampant.
Well, following recent remarks from both
Captain Marvel star Brie Larson and WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen,
Black Widow lead Scarlett Johansson is the latest actress to make it clear that she's "pushing" Marvel Studios to consider making this movie.
"I don’t know what my future is in that world. Obviously, it’s a little more opaque for my character," Johansson said, referring to Black Widow's demise in Avengers: Endgame. "But that group of actresses is so incredibly powerful and when they come together, it’s explosive and unstoppable. So yes, I’m pushing for that. I think audiences want it and I’m definitely one of them."
At this point, it's going to be hard for Kevin Feige and company to ignore these remarks, not to mention the clear desire from fans to see the movie become a reality in the near future.
Whether it will actually happen hinges on what Marvel Studios has planned for Phase 4, but with plans for the Young Avengers seemingly coming together, it appears there's a chance we could see multiple teams of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the MCU moving forward.
