Photos from the set of Captain America: New World Order offer a glimpse at Sam Wilson's new costume, while it's also been confirmed that WWE Superstar Seth Rollins has joined the movie's stacked cast.

The ongoing WGA strike is causing chaos in Hollywood, but cameras are still rolling on a number of upcoming movies and TV shows. For now, at least. 

Captain America: New World Order is among them, and set photos offer a first look at Sam Wilson's new costume. There's a lot less white around Anthony Mackie's chest, while he also appears to have ditched the mask in preference for the goggles he wore as The Falcon. 

Looking at the dark blue colour scheme, we're guessing this is the equivalent of Steve Rogers' "stealth" suit in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, though that obviously remains to be seen. Hopefully, some clearer shots will be revealed in due course. 

These photos (and a video) also confirm WWE Superstar Seth Rollins (real name, Colby Daniel Lopez) has joined the cast of Captain America: New World Order. 

We're not sure who the actress is standing next to him, but between the colour of their costumes and her tattoos, it seems fair to say they're members of the villainous Serpent Society. Looking at the diamond on her chest, it's possible that unnamed actress is the MCU's Diamondback.

During last night's episode of WWE RAW - read more about that at TheRingReport.com - Rollins only appeared in a pre-recorded backstage interview, and we now know why! 

The pro wrestler, who is currently the firm fan favourite to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions this month, joins the likes of The Rock (Black Adam), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), and John Cena (Peacemaker) to make the leap from the squared circle to the world of superheroes. 

Funnily enough, Rollins' wife and fellow WWE Superstar, Becky Lynch, is thought to have shot a role in Eternals which was ultimately scrapped. 

Captain America: New World Order is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.

For anyone unfamiliar with Seth Rollins, he is certainly one of the better promos in WWE, though a bit hammy and exuberant. His voice is a bit nasaly, and he easily exudes chickensh*t heel energy. Add this to the list of wins for the new Captain America film!

Seth is incredibly over right now (even if I'm finding the sing-along-theme-song a bit tiresome). This exposure is great for him and hopefully, the new title.

@TheRose - Nit pick but he hasn't won the title. Odds on favorite to but not yet so the thumbnail pick is lazy booking on their part.

@Steel86 - Yes, we will have to wait until Night of Champions to see the title around Rollins' waist. I agree that the thumbnail pic isn't quite what I would like, especially since there are a plethora of legitimate title-holding pictures that could have been used instead.

AJ vs. Seth should be a fun match. To be fair, most of the matches on the Saudi Shows have been pretty good, even if the focus is less on the matches and more on Pro-Saudi-Relationship Propoganda.

I'm very interested to see how Sami Zayn is received. I know at the last show, the crowd was chanting "We Want Sami," but I'm not sure that sentiment is shared with everyone over there. He will get a reaction for the record books.

@bobevanz - I loved Edge's hint that he wants the title and will quit after he loses it. I was hoping he would get the title and be on a retirement path soon. Defeating the Demon after Finn's other-worldly performance at Wrestlemana this year was a mistake. I love Edge and his matches, but I really want him to start putting people over before he leaves.

Rollins is probably one of the most charismatic and fun Wrestlers

Dave Bautista is the best actor out of all of them (Knock At The Cabin Proved this, even though I didn't think the movie was great)

John Cena is fun and also very charismatic. Glad he got to be dramatic when portraying Peacemaker


The Rock has probably ruined himself, with poor choices, although his early stuff was good and genuinely fun

So his head is even more exposed now? It just seems like such an odd design choice. Dude doesn’t have any powers. Fitting villains and flying around. Concussions are a big deal people. Wilson is playing with fire.

@newhire13 - Steve Rodgers always wore a helmet because he went up against threats stronger than he was. Sam is weaker than steve. Maybe back when he was the sidekick falcon battling back up goons, but dude is supposed to be stepping up as a major Avenger now.

@BassMan - I personally wasn't a big fan of it. Just seemed really stiff and bulky for a guy that's supposed to be agile and quick. Though I could have been won over if they just did something different with the head piece of the suit. Goggles built into the look comes off as sort of goofy to me.

This suit looks a lot like caps stealth suit, which was my favorite MCU look by far. So I'm hoping they run with that design.

@RedFury - it was kinda bulky, I just thought it was sleek and different from most other suits. Loved the blue and white on it, should have ditched the red. And totally agree, the stealth suit from TWS was beautiful. He was a tank on that boat

@BassMan - I definitely agree that it was a cool and sleek look. Maybe if they had just slimmed the suit up a bit it would have looked a bit better on him. It seems rare to get the suit right in the first go anyways. So it might be like it was for Steve and they'll figure out the best look eventually.

That opening scene on the boat has to be one of the best openings in the MCU. Watching Cap Merc those Mercs was perfect.

Wonder is Disney has him do his finishing move at some point or if they shy away because it used to be called the curb stomp, which even WWE was like "eeeeeh" and they banned it for awhile before bringing it back and just calling it the stomp.
