Stanley Tucci Says Captain America Filming Ends In Three Weeks!

We've all enjoyed getting glimpses of the filming of Captain America whether it was in Manchester, Caerwent, Aldershot or any of the other numerous locations throughout the UK. Well, it looks like those pictures of Chris Evans in full costume that we were all hoping for wont be shot by a sneaky scooper any time soon because filming is nearly at an end according to the actor that plays Doctor Abraham Erskine!

"Yeah, I’m done. They shoot for like another three weeks. I had the best time...the best time!"

When asked about getting the role, he once again couldnt help but point out the funny side of what Marvel called his character in those early stages of production:

I was cast as the 'elderly German scientist'. Then I took the role and they changed it to say 'very tired looking man'!"

Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released on July 22, 2011!

I can't imagine Dr. Abraham Erskine having a large role in this. He's in for what? The Rebirth scene? Then he's dead.

@ckal

February is far too late imo. I'm really disappointed with how far in the game Marvel's getting the marketing campaign going.

I'm thinking trailer in Dec. with Tron actually... a teaser even. Well, at least that's what I'm hoping for.

Actually, I was surprised with the spread in Entertainment Weekly. I didn't think we'd get that at all with CA:TFA.

Remember when we were all worried about how prouction was taking too long? I can hardly believe how fast the ball rolled on this movie once it got going.

He may not have a large part but it's a hell of a part! If it's done right, the audience might actually care that Erskine died.

I think Johnston said there could be a teaser by December.

SmokinIndo - 11/15/2010, 5:31 PM
The movie started filming 3 weeks before the Comic-Con footage was shown. If filming ends in mid-December, they've had about 6 months to shoot! If anything this movie's gonna be a long one!

How do Thor and Cap seem rushed in the slightest?
One2three
One2three - 11/16/2010, 3:31 PM
@indoraptor
Actually thor started filming around the normal time frame for a big budget film. But captain america only goes back to july, now fanboism aside. For a big budget movie, that borders on a very short timeline in comparison.
