this new politically correctness coming into the movies and comics is just silly.

Not really any point to making him black unless they want to tie it into the TV show. Anyways, hopefully his personality remains intact.

@johnnywellens........ Your hate for buccaleto and manipul is wrongly directed they left flash after reverse of flash arc and I personally loved there run..... It's Robert vendetti and van jenson taking this over and there decision for the colour change, I also dislike there writing due to how poor they've change green lanterns series after the high of Geoff johns. I also can't hate the new 52 as its what's got me into comics and led me to collecting dc and marvel sooooooo

If he doesn't look or act like Wally, why are we calling him Wally? Why don't we just create a new character? This is bogus.

Will DC ever revert back to the original continuity or is it new 52 from here on out

My apologies for what turned into a bit of a rant. Just had to sit the persona aside for a sec and give "briefly" *My Opinion* on the matter.

This HAS to be because of the show. I really can't say I'm behind this particular "idea" of a "change" for my personal favorite iteration of the character. I feel as some do, who argue that the writers who invoke such 'tweekings' are doing so less for the past or current canon of said character and perhaps more for the sake of cashing in on 'the times' and calling it a 'progressive' move in the diversity of characters we're given; I do feel as if they(the writers/e.i.c) occasionally miss the point.

Why are writers apprehensive about giving us fresh, brand new characters that can still be worked into the narrative of the heroes we've come to love? If it's so difficult to write for a character who's background is ethnically different from most, then maybe make the 'drastic changes' to the stable of writer's/editor's room and think tank instead of 'fast-food' rebooting these characters and actually compromising/alienating the connection that have long been established, prior to boardroom meeting talking points becoming cashpoints for the sake of company revenue. Is it even the fault of the writer or are they subject to the whims of their company's ever $hifting policies in regards to diversification of comics and past characters with the quick fix method of making one, two or three characters a different shade, gender, advocate of a social class etc..

Make no mistake, I feel that truly, the only color of concern ultimately for these companies is GREEN; perhaps that's why these 'quick fix' character overhauls are the trend. At the same time, I can't help but feel it also does more harm than good in the sense that race and diversity has always been a point of contention in the country where many, if not all the fan favorite characters and storylines originated. All that being stated, I can also say that even though I really don't care for this particular change, I'll try to see where it goes. I may like aspects of the writing and even the character, but It does not mean I will be fully on board with the plan; but I can also be decent about it. No need for it to bend me out of shape invoking fact, fiction, myth and agenda beyond the scope of common sense, because that would be more telling of my personality than my love or disdain for the medium that currently begs to queries and controversy; after all,it's fantasy.

Golly, not sure if I like this Wally. I'll have to see him within context of the but this is too much of a departure of a beloved character.
